Wendens Ambo Mini Rugby Football Club is delighted to welcome all boys and girls to come and give rugby a try for the new season. There is no commitment to pay fees until the end of September, making it the perfect opportunity for children to come along, have fun and see what mini rugby is all about.

We are a friendly, family-focused club offering training sessions and matches every Sunday at Carver Barracks, just outside Saffron Walden.

Age Groups
Sessions are organised by school year group from year R to year 6.

- U6 to U8 – children play non-contact tag rugby, focusing on fun, teamwork and learning the basic skills of the game.
- U9 to U11– some elements of contact rugby are introduced gradually in a safe and age-appropriate way.
- Full contact rugby is not played until senior school age groups.

Sessions start on Sunday 7th September at 10.30 - 11.30am. (Carver Barracks or Newport rec TBC)

Season Fees

We are pleased to confirm that fees remain the same as last season, offering excellent value for a full season of rugby:

- £70 – First child
- £50 – Sibling, Year R or Year 1 child

A Club Run by Volunteers

Wendens Ambo Mini Rugby is run entirely by dedicated parent volunteers. From coaching the children and organising fixtures to setting up pitches, running the kiosk and helping behind the scenes, the club relies on families giving a little of their time.

As our membership grows, we always need more help. Whether you can assist regularly or just occasionally, every contribution makes a real difference. Please consider offering whatever time you can – this is what keeps our club running and allows us to continue providing rugby for local children.
